GD is an open source code library for the dynamic creation of images by programmers. GD can create images composed of lines, arcs, text (using program-selected fonts), other images, and multiple colors. GD is commonly used to generate charts, graphics, thumbnails, and most anything else, on the fly.

This distribution of the library has been compiled with support for JPEG and PNG images. It does not support the TIFF, XPM, or Freetype2 features of LibGD at this time.
